The Merge: Where faith, culture, and ideas meet.
Nicole Beverly will be speaking. Her ten minute talk will be followed by Q&A and an open forum.
Before the talk there will be appetizers and networking from 6:45 to 7:00 pm. Following the open forum will be dessert and networking until 8:30.
The Merge gathers in The Parlor at Cornerstone, EPC in Brighton. The entrance to The Parlor is just to the right of the main doors (Door 3).
Get to know Nicole:
Nicole is a Master’s level Social Worker with certifications in Clinical Social Work, School Social Work and Suicide Prevention. She is a survivor of both Domestic Violence and Stalking. Nicole serves as a speaker, advocate and consultant for victims and survivors of domestic violence and stalking. She been featured in the Documentary the Return of Social Change, on Huffington Post Live, Fox News and in various articles in The Huffington Post, The Detroit Free Press and The Ann Arbor News. Nicole’s quest to keep her ex-husband incarcerated related to his repeated attempts to solicit other inmates in prison to murder her and their two sons has recently become a nationally covered story. Nicole currently resides in Ypsilanti with her sons Myles and Carter. She is committed to bringing an end to domestic violence through education, advocacy and empowerment.
