The Merge: Where faith, culture, and ideas meet.

Dr. Laura J. Hunt, PhD, M.Div will be speaking on women in religion. Her ten minute talk will be followed by Q&A and an open forum.

Before the talk there will be appetizers and networking from 6:45 to 7:00 pm. Following the open forum will be dessert and networking until 8:30.

The Merge gathers in The Parlor at Cornerstone, EPC in Brighton. The entrance to The Parlor is just to the right of the main doors (Door 3).

Get to know Laura:

Laura is connected with several different places of worship and learning. She is an adjunct for Ashland Theological Seminary in Southfield, MI. Laura also teaches for Spring Arbor University, primarily on the Toledo Campus. She’s a copy editor for Dr. J. Brian Tucker at Moody Theological Seminary in Plymouth. She wrote a book based on his work called The Not-Very-Persecuted Church.

Laura is also an ordained Elder in the Free Methodist Church, so she occasionally teaches and preaches in local churches, and she adjuncts for the East Michigan Conference Institute in the Lansing area.

Laura has been married for 37 years to Doug, her high school sweetheart. They have five children, aged 36 to 21, whom they homeschooled for about 25 years.
